Bronxville is about a square mile, which makes it one of the few places we serve where the parking is a bigger problem than the driving. The village center is metered and enforced, the lots off Kraft Avenue fill with commuters by eight in the morning, and the residential streets climbing away from the center are narrow enough that a work van parked badly blocks somebody. None of that stops us. It just means we plan a Bronxville job differently.
Most village customers bring the car down to Mount Vernon, because the drive is shorter than the search for a space. Households up on the hill streets, where there is a driveway and a garage, tend to use the van. Either way the shop keeps the same standard it applies to a beveled mirror or a leaded pane: a clean edge, a full bead, and nobody rushing the cure. That is the whole reason this business ended up doing cars in the first place, and it has not changed since.
Pondfield Road is the village's main street and it drives like one, with angled parking, pedestrians crossing mid-block, and delivery vehicles stopping wherever there is a gap.
